Chairman, Peter Brown, JP  Peter-Brown-JP

Peter and his wife Carmel moved into their home  in Strathmore in 1985 and have raised their three boys in this wonderful community and owns a business in Napier Street, Strathmore.  Peter has been a member of the board of directors of Strathmore Community Bank since 2005  and is the Company Secretary and also Chairman of the Grants and Sponsorship Committee, both roles he takes very seriously.

He is very proud of the Community Bank philosophy to support the local community and delighted that Strathmore Community Bank have given over $5.3mil back through grants, sponsorships and donations.

Company Secretary, Peter McKie  P-McKie-2

Peter has lived in the Strathmore area since 1952 and attended Strathmore State School and Strathmore Secondary College.  In 1963 his working career commenced as a clerk at F.H. Stephens in their small airport office. He then moved into a larger company and worked to obtain his Customs Brokers License.  Peter then purchased a shareholding in a Customs Broker/Freight forwarder and became their Managing Director.  This business was sold in 2002.  After considering retirement he commenced a property management business in which he is still involved.

As Peter holds several business management qualifications he felt he had something to offer and in 2002 he was given the opportunity to become involved in the Strathmore Community Bank and he has been an intrinsic and hard working member of the board ever since.


Treasurer, Glenn Clements


 Glenn Clements was appointed to the Board of Directors of Strathmore Community Services in November 2013.

He and his partner Vicki have lived in Strathmore for the past 15 years and have proudly raised their daughter Brittany in our local community, sending her off to Oak Park Primary School and Strathmore Secondary College.

Glenn owns and operates his successful corporate merchandise and sports goods import business in Strathmore and Brittany has followed his lead also operating her business in our local community and is a strong supporter of local football, he enjoys travelling and the company of good friends.

On his election to the board of directors Glenn said – “I would like to thank everyone for the opportunity of working on this board to help this incredible community asset”.

Director, Michael Garafillis


Michael has lived in  Strathmore for since 1988 with his wife, Jan and have raised their  two boys sending them to local schools.  His professional background has been in advertising and marketing.

Michael joined the Strathmore Community Service Ltd board in April 2009 and enjoys the challenges and involvement of marketing our Community Bank with the objective of achieving greater awareness and acceptance of our brand in our local and surrounding areas.

As a director it affords him the satisfaction of being able to contribute to our local community in such a positive and rewarding way.


Director, Craig Jenkins


Craig has lived in Strathmore with his wife Sandra for 21 years, moving here so their daughter could attend local primary and secondary schools. He is director of a local company based in Tullamarine and believes in local business supporting the local community where they can.

Craig was the founding Chairman of the Strathmore Community Services Ltd and resigned as a director after 6 years returning in 2009 still needing to fulfil the desire to complete something for the local community.

Director, Kerri Osborne


Kerri an ex primary teacher is married to Tony and they have two boys, living in Strathmore for 16 years with both boys attending local schools, scouts and clubs.  She has previous experience working as an integration aide, playgroup leader and kinder assistant but now work part time at the LEGO Education Centre.

A shareholder in the Strathmore Community Bank since the start and a director for approximately five years, Kerri finds it very rewarding being able to contribute to our community in such beneficial way.

Director, Phil Lusher


Phil has lived and worked in Strathmore all his life.  He attended our local schools and has been actively involved in local sporting clubs, including football, cricket, little athletics and baseball, for many years.

Phil and his wife Helen have two grown boys who have followed their parents lead and are also heavily involved in sport.

Phil is a very active member of Rotary, just another way he devotes his time to giving back to our community.

Phil was pleased to be elected to the Board of Directors.
