State Emergency Services – Essendon Unit

As a volunteer based organisation, the Victoria State Emergency Service provides emergency assistance to thousands of Victorians every year.

The Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is the control agency for flood, storm, tsunami and earthquake in Victoria, managing responses to these emergencies and helping communities to prepare through planning and education. They are the largest provider of road rescue in the state, they assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and they play an important support role during major bushfires.

The committed and dedicated volunteers have saved the lives and property of countless Victorians, providing these services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

The Essendon Unit consist of 40 volunteers with a response area of 44 square kilometres, covering 17 suburbs. In the past year the unit has responded to 262 requests for assistance including building damage, flood, traffic hazards and police and ambulance assistance.

Your bank has supported VICSES Essendon for the past three years. Through our support the unit has been able to replace their crew cab and the vital upgrading and replacement of old outdated equipment.
